Students completed this quilling project a little while ago. They got super creative with it! After creating the art, we did a gallery walk and my 2 Stars and a Wish critique.

Carolyn Braden's Fifth Grade: Quilling
My fifth grade is working on a quilling lesson. We focused on symmetry, balance, line, and shape with this lesson. We studied the history of quilling and how it's a type of folk art. (Passed down from generation to generation). Students will take a quiz next on the concepts learned and assess themselves on creativity, craftsmanship and more.

Fifth Grade Symmetrical Quilled Snowflakes
My fifth graders are currently working on symmetrical quilled snowflakes. This was my first time teaching this lesson and based on my students enthusiasm and dedication, I know it's a great project!
